Everything you need to know about Bruno Mars at BST Hyde Park

On July 14, Bruno Mars will be headlining British Summer Time Hyde Park, London.

The superstar is currently in the middle of his 24K Magic World Tour, but will be making a welcome return to the UK this summer to perform on the Great Oak Stage (in the sunshine, we hope).

Fans can expect a dazzling stage production and a set list bursting with hit after hit, including ‘Runaway Baby’, ‘Marry You’, ‘Grenade’, ‘Just The Way You Are’, ‘Locked Out Of Heaven’, ‘Uptown Funk’ and more.

With just a few months to go until Bruno brings his ‘Finesse’ to London, we thought we would round up everything you need to know about Bruno Mars live at BST Hyde Park.

When and where?

Bruno Mars’ British Summer Time gig takes place at Hyde Park on July 14, 2018.

Line up

Bruno will be joined by a stellar line up of acts. His main special guest is breakout star Khalid, who will be entertaining the crowd with hits such as ‘Young, Dumb & Broke’, and ‘Location’. Four-piece band DNCE will also be performing. Best known for their global hit ‘Cake By The Ocean’, Joe, Jinjoo, Cole and Jack are bound to bring an infectious energy to Hyde Park.

Also joining the incredible line up are Charlie Wilson, Trombone Shorty, Yungen, Tom Walker, Sofi Tukker, Liv Dawson, Alex Hepburn and DJ Rashida.

How to get there

Bruno’s BST gig takes place in the beautiful Hyde Park, which is located in Central London. The area is well served by public transport, making it incredibly easy to get to the famous park.

The nearest overground stations are Paddington and Victoria, whilst the nearest tubes are Marble Arch, Hyde Park Corner, Bond Street, Knightsbridge, Lancaster Gate and Green Park (step-free access). Buses also stop at Marble Arch, Hyde Park Corner and Knightsbridge.

There is no official drop off/pick up location, and only a limited number of parking spaces, therefore using public transport is well advised.

Tickets

BST Hyde Park is an outdoor event, therefore the gig will be standing only. Whilst there were a number of different ticket options available, all are currently sold out bar general admission (primary entry). This ticket, which costs £89.95 plus fees, will give you primary access to the park one hour before regular general admission tickets.

Accessibility

This year, BST Hyde Park has made further improvements to its accessibility so that all fans can equally enjoy the concerts. These changes include:

Revised booking system

Ticket holders now have the chance to provide evidence of their disability in advance, which means that they will not need to bring private documents with them on the day. This will also mean that they won’t have to submit their details if they attend future events. Closing date for submitting evidence is Friday June 8.

Viewing platform improvements

The viewing platform is now in an improved location and has a better access route in addition to better access to nearby accessible toilets.

British Sign Language

The visibility and quality of the screen-in-screen display will be improved, whilst interpreters will be more visible at the side of the stage.

Hearing impairments

There will be a Typetext service for those with hearing impairments who need to contact a member of the customer service team via phone. This can accessed be via BST Hyde Park’s dedicated Typetext number 18001 0203 481 55 06.

Ticketing Without Barriers

AEG Presents are a founding member of the new Ticketing Without Barriers coalition launched by Attitude is Everything. They are pledging to work together to ensure an equal ticketing experience for Deaf and Disabled Audiences.

Invisible disabilities

BST Hyde Park is expanding upon the ‘Quiet Space’ facility by making sure the festival is inclusive for those with invisible disabilities.
