Fans of jail mugshots are happy once again -- Ada County Jail site back online

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) — Members of the media aren't the only ones checking the daily Ada County Jail mugshot roster.

So is the public (thousands and thousands of times a month).

But for weeks now, the popular Ada County Jail mugshot roster has been offline after county officials upgraded new software for its 911 emergency dispatch system.

"We understand how important a resource those pages are to the public. We just want to say thank you to everyone who waited patiently as we worked to restore that service," the sheriff's office wrote.

When the technology upgrade is complete, the county's 911 dispatch, jail records and courts system will all work together. The upgrade, the county says, was "much needed."

Patrick Orr, Ada County spokesman, says the active warrants page is still offline, but the hope is to get it up soon.
