Kelly Dodd Claims Vicki Gunvalson Has Officially Been Demoted To A Friend On RHOC

Is it possible that Season 14 of the Real Housewives of Orange County will not star Vicki Gunvalson? Last week, on his SiriusXM radio show Jeff Lewis Live, Flipping Out star Jeff Lewis revealed that the hot rumor in the world of Bravo was that Gunvalson had been demoted to “friend” status for the upcoming season.

After he shared the shocking Bravo news, Lewis attempted to get some juicy details from Gunvalson’s RHOC rival Kelly Dodd.

“Well, I cannot confirm nor deny. However, that’s the word on the street,” Dodd happily proclaimed.

Both Lewis and Dodd are feuding with Gunvalson, and during their phone conversation, they both made it clear that they agreed with the demotion.

“So, she’s been demoted. Vicki Gunvalson has been demoted. I think the way she’s behaved and the things she has done, she doesn’t deserve our respect. And I’m glad she was demoted,” said Lewis.

Dodd agreed that Gunvalson’s behavior was definitely a major cause of the casting decision, and she and Lewis also speculated that her salary had something to do with it.  Dodd didn’t hold back, saying that she wouldn’t “be paying that b***h much money” because “she’s not worth that much.”

Gunvalson responded to the demotion rumor in a not-so-convincing way. She wrote on Twitter that “unless you hear it from me, then it’s simply a rumor. I am in negotiations.”

Those words didn’t come close to being a denial. And, Dodd took the opportunity to throw some major shade at the response when the Best of Bravo Instagram page shared a screenshot of Gunvalson’s tweet, and Dodd commented, “We’ve started filming.”

Dodd and Gunvalson’s nasty feud went nuclear at last season’s reunion when Gunvalson accused Dodd of using cocaine – a claim Dodd vehemently denied. Kelly Dodd was so mad about Gunvalson’s accusation that she threatened to quit RHOC because she didn’t want to work with the “OG of the OC.”

It looks like Gunvalson is the one who didn’t sign a full-time contract for Season 14 – because she wasn’t asked. Everyone else has confirmed their return and started shooting, but Gunvalson wants fans to believe she is “still in negotiations.”

So, will Vicki Gunvalson walk away completely? Or, will she agree to be just a friend?

Fans will have to wait and see.
